1 Year of Substack!
Celebrating one year of posting on Substack
Hi! Hello!
I wanted to spend a little time celebrating my one year of posting on Substack! Since I launched in August of 2024, I have posted almost every week. I cannot believe through the highs and lows of the last year that I have continued to write and post. I have enjoyed showing up here for myself and love the creative outlet that Substack has become.
I originally began this because I wanted to chronicle my reading around the world journey. But since launching, I have written about much more than that. I have written about the books I was reading, the movies and tv shows that I was watching, about New York City, about my travels. I wrote a series about credit card points and airline miles and how I afford to travel so much.
The last year hasn’t been easy and I have learned a lot. I made mistakes - misspelling, extra words, missing words and that’s okay! It’s all proof that a real human is sitting behind the computer.
I wanted to say thank you for being here. There are lots of new faces as of late but however you found me thank you for continuing to support me both on and offline. Thank you for joining this community!
When I first started this Substack, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to write about. But now that I have started, it feels like the faucet has turned on and I have so many ideas. The problem is truly finding the time to invest in writing and not completely burning myself out.
My favorite posts to write are my New York Favorites - so far I have written about my favorite bars, pizzas, burgers and Indian restaurants. These posts take a lot of work but I really enjoy investing the time in them. If you missed any of those, you can catch up below.
